My Story

My passion for painting began at an early age and eventually led me to study Painting and Fine Art at university. I was especially drawn to the human form, exploring anatomy and the contrast between male and female figures across large canvases.

Motherhood changed the scale of my work and, unexpectedly, the direction of my career. My large canvases became shoes, clothing and accessories. Painting moved from the wall to pieces people would wear, carry and make part of their own story.

Later, after completing courses in Supporting Teaching and Learning and Art Therapy, and spending time working in schools, I found another passion: sharing creativity with others. I realised I enjoyed teaching art and craft as much as creating my own work.

I still see myself as a student of art. I continue to learn, experiment and create, because each day brings another opportunity to make something new and find joy in the process.
